Just a personal finding, not sure if you experience the same, hope I'm not alone.
You might be saying “wah lao e... so old fashion meh... use the digital version of sticky notes la”
Ya very true indeed, that a lot corporate environments nowadays are using an internal portal to track and assign tasks, while some individuals would synchronize them into their Outlook organizer. In fact, the company I'm working in, is one of the big players in portal and knowledge management industry.
Undoubtedly, I do agree that a centralized management of corporate-wide task assignment and tracking is an effective way of achieving job efficiency. But, when it comes to personal touch, the personal efficiency of tracking with my own hill-high (not to the extend of mountain-high yet hehe) tasks, I still prefer the colored, small-in-size, writable, write-once-post-anywhere sticky notes!

I used to be practicing total-paperless in tracking personal tasks. Everytime when I want to view my to-dos, no big deal, I'll just Alt+Tab to the portal, and refer to the Tasks portlet.
But, that's a lengthy list of to-dos! A very long list in deed. All I need, is a sneak view of tasks for this week, or those that require my immediate attention. This is the situation where I still prefer to traditional square-in-size or rectangle-in-size (do we have round?) sticky notes.
I can simply filter the lengthy list to a few high priority tasks, write them down with the handwriting that not many people could read, and stick it anywhere I want – on my cubicle, on my table, or even on my laptop hahaha
That's why, we should only aim for paper less and not paperless
Some asked: “doesn't the sticky notes software suffice your need?” hm... well, not really. I don't like to have a messy desktop. I want my wallpaper to be clearly seen without much obstructions hahaha. So that I can admire at some pictures I took
By the way, this post is never meant to be a 3M commercial :D
