Major Difference between Windows Mobile 5 and Windows Mobile 6
Though the upgrade is available for free, but the pre-upgrade concern has always been, assessment on the difference between Windows Mobile 5 and Windows Mobile 6.
Jason Langridge has published a useful chart summarizing the differences between WM5 and WM6. Click here to download the comparison sheet in PDF.
As the market of PDA phones is always driven towards the enterprise executive domain, the major enhancements done on WM6 is focused on enterprise mobile messaging. Though conventional e-mail client is available on WM5, but WM6 is featuring better integration to Microsoft Exchange Server and Microsoft SharePoint portal.
Beside the significant upgrade on enterprise mobile messaging options, I don’t find much of other worth-noting upgrades.
Does Student Need PDA Phones?
Nowadays, it’s easy to spot some university or college students using PDA phones. But, at times, it makes me thinking, if they really need such a gadget?
In campus student life, notebook PC is undeniably introducing convenience and flexibility. But, does a student really need the features available in PDA phones? How frequent do they need to use the Microsoft Word Mobile? How frequent do they have a lengthy list of tasks and appointments to keep track of? How frequent do they need to stay intact with email messages on the go?
No offence, but are majority of these students using PDA phones for the sake of showing off?
